Open Positions
Develop and refine gameplay mechanics, systems, and custom features using Source Engine's coding frameworks. Collaborate with designers to implement AI behavior, physics interactions, and other gameplay systems. Debug and optimize features to run smoothly on the Source Engine while maintaining a cohesive player experience.
Work closely with level designers, environment artists, animators, and riggers to create realistic, detailed hard-surface assets, lifelike characters, creatures, and organic props tailored for Source Engine. Focus on props, vehicles, architectural elements, and organic assets that align with the mod's artistic direction. Ensure all assets are optimized for Source Engine constraints, including polygon count, LODs, material efficiency, and seamless integration with the engine's skeletal and physics systems, maintaining high-quality visuals.
Use FacePoser, Source Engine's facial animation tool, to create expressive, realistic facial animations for characters. Sync facial expressions with voice acting and scripted events to enhance immersion. Collaborate with writers and animators to ensure characters' emotions and dialogue align with the mod's narrative goals.
Design and implement immersive soundscapes, effects, and ambient audio tailored for Source Engine. Work with level designers to ensure sounds trigger correctly in Hammer's I/O system and align with gameplay moments. Optimize audio files for performance while maintaining quality. Experience with Source tools like the soundscapes file system is a plus.
